Community Guidelines

Last updated: May 2026

Lynxy is built on radical anonymity and free expression. These guidelines exist to protect that freedom — not to limit it. Everyone on this platform deserves to speak and be heard without fear.

What Lynxy is for

  • Sharing thoughts, opinions, and ideas freely and anonymously.
  • Discussing topics without fear of judgement or social consequence.
  • Expressing yourself authentically, even if it is unpopular.
  • Engaging with content from a diverse range of perspectives.

What is not allowed

  • Illegal content — anything that violates applicable law, including content that promotes or facilitates criminal activity.
  • Hate speech — content that dehumanises individuals or groups based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or similar characteristics.
  • Threats and harassment — targeted threats of violence or sustained harassment of any individual.
  • Child exploitation — any sexual content involving minors. This results in immediate, permanent removal and reporting to relevant authorities.
  • Doxxing — sharing private personal information about others without their consent.
  • Spam and manipulation — flooding the platform with repetitive content or attempting to game the ranking system.

Anonymity is a right, not a loophole

Being anonymous does not exempt you from these guidelines. Anonymity is here to protect you — not to enable harm to others. Content that would be unacceptable under a real name is equally unacceptable here.

Sensitive but permitted content

We allow discussion of difficult, controversial, or politically sensitive topics. Dark humour, satire, and strong opinions are welcome. We draw the line only at content that directly harms real people or violates the rules above.

Reporting

Use the Report button on any post you believe violates these guidelines. Our team reviews reports manually. We do not reveal who submitted a report. False or malicious reports may result in action against the reporter account.

Enforcement

Violations may result in post removal, temporary suspension, or permanent account termination depending on severity. Serious violations are reported to law enforcement. There is no formal appeals process — decisions are final.
